An MP4 export burns your chosen caption style into the video, so that appearance travels with the clip. SRT and VTT are separate timed-text files for platforms or editors that accept caption tracks. Those platforms control how the separate text is displayed.
Guest projects last 24 hours. Free account projects are retained for 7 days, and Starter projects for 90 days. Expired project media is removed by scheduled cleanup. Download anything you want to keep before your project expires.
The terms overlap in everyday use. Subtitles often mean dialogue text, including translations; accessibility captions can also describe speakers and meaningful sounds. Automatic speech transcription does not capture every sound cue, so review the result for your audience's needs.
